The property offers four independent apartments for rent.
Villa Maria Doria began in the 1500’s as a country farmhouse in the middle of a large olive grove located in a unique corner of Tuscany. It is both near to the Tyrrhenian Sea and close to the Appuan Alps. Much has changed during the succeeding five centuries. Yet the basic architectural integrity of the original structure remains, and the ambience of the old olive grove continues to influence the entire property.
Today, we are offering four apartments for vacation rentals in the original villa complex. We have of course refurbished and modernized the property and added a large swimming pool.
A stay at the Villa offers privacy and tranquility. Yet its unparalleled location provides easy access to the beaches of the celebrated Italian Riviera, the towns of the Tuscan hills, and all of the tourist attractions that are available in the area. The famous resort town of Forte dei Marmi is a mere 5km drive down the road. The towns of Lucca, Firenze, Siena, San Giminiano, and Volterra are easy excursions. And the famous artists’ town of Pietrasanta, with sophisticated restaurants, bars, galleries, and one of the loveliest piazzas in Italy is only five minutes away.
Equally close by is the Versilia Golf Club, an 18-hole par 71 course that is challenging enough to have earned a Grade 1 rating from the IGD.
Villa Maria Doria is easily accessible to international travelers, as it is a five-minute drive from the Forte dei Marmi exit off the Autostrada and a thirty-five minute drive from the Pisa airport.
