The Locanda del Pittore, set in a recently renovated late XIX century building. is located in the quiet, picturesque, mountain hamlet of Arcumeggia, among the thick chestnut woods of green Valcuvia.
Right above Lake Maggiore and at a short distance from Varese, Lugano (CH) & Malpensa airport, Arcumeggia is well known for its several precious frescoes painted on the outer walls of houses by some of the major XX century Italian painters, who used to visit this once remote spot on a regular basis.
